1. What kind of bleach is it? What strengths are available?Our partner in this program is Discus Dental and we are using DayWhite Gel. It is a carbamide peroxide formula that is by far one of the best in the business. It’s a 38% concentration formula.

2. How much do we give each patient?Each syringe is 3ML of bleach product. This means that you only need to give 2 syringes with the initial kit, and 1 for each touch up kit.

3. How long do you need to wear the trays with the Gel ?We recommend that patients wear the trays for 30 to 60 minute per day until they are satisfied with the results. Overnight wear is not recommended.

4. What if there is sensitivity with the bleach?Many patients probably will experience some sensitivity. Please ask the dentist what products are recommend to help alleviate the sensitivity.

5. What are the other ingredients?Poloxomer 407 (a thickening agent), glycerin (preservative, helps the gel have a long shelf life), and cool mint (flavoring).

6. Does the bleach need to be refrigerated?No, it’s not necessary Discuss has never had a case of bleach oxidizing prematurely.

7. How should the bleach be stored?We recommend that the bleach be stored at room temperature (70-80 degrees). It can be stored in the refrigerator to prolong the shelf life but again not necessary.

8. What is the shelf life of the bleach?The average shelf life of the bleach gel is 3 years. Bleach kept in the refrigerator will last an additional 2 years past the expiration date.

9. What if I need additional bleach? We supply 2 tubes of bleach at the delivery of the trays and 1 with each hygiene visit of 6 months. If you need additional gel it is around $25 per tube.

10. What if I’m not happy with the results?Whitening can vary person to person. If it isn’t working for the patient then they can use the membership fee as a credit for Zoom Whiting at $699.00 or Dash at $399.00.

11. Will it work on veneers or Crowns?Whitening will not work on crowns or veneers, only your natural teeth.
